I have been tutoring peers and students for over 20 years, specializing in high school and college level math and sciences. In my experience, I have found everyone processes information differently. For this reason I tailor each lesson for the student, whether they are in kindergarten or college. Although my background is in math and science, I have had great success developing students' vocabulary, reading comprehension, retention of material, and sequencing of events in a story. I have home schooled several students in the past, especially helping parents teach basic math, algebra, geometry and trig, along with biology (anatomy and physiology, animal behavior, ecology, kinesiology, microbiology and cellular), physics, chemistry, optical theory, contact lens, optical laboratory and manufacturing principles. My students not only learn the subject, but they leave with study skills that will carry them through life. I take pride in making difficult subjects fun and interesting.
